On July 28, the Video Scheduling Meeting of Jingzhou’s Epidemic Prevention and Control Work took place. Wu Jin, secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and head of Jingzhou Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, attended the meeting and stressed that it is necessary to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech made during his inspection in Hubei and his important instructions on epidemic prevention and control, and adhere to the overall strategy of "guarding against imported cases and a rebound in indigenous cases" and the dynamic zero-COVID policy, and do a good job in active prevention, early detection, and quick disposal, so as to continue to cement the hard-won results of epidemic prevention and control.

Wu Jin pointed out necessary to keep in mind the importance of epidemic prevention and control, never relax our vigilance, strictly implement all measures on epidemic prevention and control, and resolutely hold the bottom line of no large-scale rebound.
Wu Jin stressed that effective measures should be taken to build a defense line. It is necessary to strengthen the investigation and control of people who come to Jingzhou and return to Jingzhou from key areas, strictly implement measures such as nucleic acid test and community health monitoring, and resolutely block all loopholes that may lead to the import of COVID-19. It is necessary to strengthen the management of high-risk goods such as imported goods and express delivery & logistics in medium and high-risk areas, and prevent the risk of "goods spreading the virus to man". It is necessary to strengthen the social normal detection, strictly implement the prevention and control measures in key places such as nursing homes, isolated places and cold chain-related enterprises, and weave a "five-level protective net" such as big data monitoring, detection at "three stations (railway station, subway station and bus station) and airport", regional co-investigation, public place management and community investigation. It is necessary to improve the sensitivity of "checkpoints" such as hospitals, fever clinics, pharmacies, and investigate and eliminate the hidden risks of epidemic prevention and control in time. It is necessary to make preparations for emergency response and stock up on materials for epidemic prevention and control.
Wu Jin stressed that it is necessary to make overall plans and precisely implement the epidemic prevention and control policies. It is necessary to strictly implement the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Plan (9th Edition) and the notice and requirements of the COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters of Hubei Province, make timely corrections, encrypt the frequency of nucleic acid detection of high-risk occupational groups, further strengthen the capacity building in epidemic prevention and control, and effectively make the city’s epidemic prevention and control work more scientific, precise and effective.
Wu Jin demanded that efforts should be made to implement the responsibility of "four parties". Headquarters at all levels should always be in "combat readiness", and implement integrated dispatching and flattening command. It is necessary to do a good job in the frontline work of Party members and officials, cement the community epidemic prevention force, fully mobilize the initiative and enthusiasm of residents to participate in community prevention and control, and hold the community defense line of epidemic prevention and control. More care should be given to epidemic prevention workers and relevant service guarantee measures should be implemented. It is necessary to strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure that all measures on epidemic prevention and control are in place.
At the meeting, representatives from Jingzhou Municipal Health Commission analyzed the current epidemic situation, and representatives from Jingzhou Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, Jingzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau, Jingzhou District and Honghu City reported the recent progress in their epidemic prevention and control work.
