Jingzhou makes steady headway in economic operation in the first half of the year

On the morning of August 5, Liu Huiwen, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and executive deputy mayor of Jingzhou, showed up at the special program of the Industry Style Hotline "Talk Face-to-Face with the Mayor", introducing the issues that citizens are concerned about as well as the city’s economic performance in the first half of the year.

In the first half of the year, Jingzhou's economic operation generally showed a trend of "making steady headway". The city's GDP reached RMB 133.377 billion, an increase of 4.9%, ranking the fifth in terms of growth rate in Hubei Province. Investment in fixed assets increased by 16.7%, the added value of industrial enterprises above the designated size increased by 10.8%, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached RMB 73.707 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4%, showing a more stable trend of economic recovery. Liu said, in the first half of the year, the local general public budget revenue reached RMB 7.771 billion, an increase of 12% after deducting the credit refund, effectively ensuring that various work can be carried out smoothly.

Since the beginning of the year, the city has formulated 135 work lists for implementing a package of policies and measures of the state and Hubei Province to stabilize the economy, adopted the combined policy of "exemption and reduction", and made every effort to help enterprises solve problems, ensured that policies can benefit market entities, and did a good job in stabilizing growth, stabilizing market entities, and ensuring employment. The city has allocated RMB 330 million of financial benefits for enterprises, implemented the combined tax and fee support policy, and accumulated RMB 4.231 billion of new tax rebates, tax reductions, tax deferrals and fee reductions. RMB 52,896,500 of post-stabilizing refunds were distributed, benefiting 5,916 enterprises, with a benefit rate of 89.54%. RMB 14.75 million of rental was reduced for market entities, benefiting 1,061 small and medium-sized enterprises and individual industrial and commercial entities.

In order to alleviate the pressure of individual industrial and commercial entities, the state also issued a series of policies for small and micro enterprises and individual industrial and commercial entities in the service industry this year. The city has started to implement them in an all-round way. In addition, the policy of VAT credit refund is also being implemented. From January to July, the city's VAT credit refund reached RMB 2.679 billion.
