The Nanyang-Jingmen-Changsha 1000kV ultra-high-voltage (UHV) power transmission project, a national key energy project, crossed the Yangtze River on September 10, building a "cross-river channel" between Luoshan Town in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province and Jiangnan Town in Linxiang City, Hunan Province. This also marks that the key power transmission channel of the UHV grid frame has entered the final stage of construction.
The project starts from Nanyang Substation in Henan Province, passes through Jingmen Substation in Hubei Province, and ends at Changsha Substation in Hunan Province, with a total length of 635 kilometers. As an important part of the main UHV grid frame in Central China, the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in late 2022.
