Yesterday, the reporter learned from Hubei Culture & Tourism (Jingzhou) Group that the opening ceremony of Jingjie Project will be held on September 29. Currently preparations are underway in an orderly fashion. At that time, Jingzhou will be further graced by the new landmark of cultural tourism.

Jing Street is one of the key projects in building the old city of Jingzhou into a 5A-level scenic spot. Jing Street (Phase I) is located on the southeast bank of the moat of the old city of Jingzhou and north of the East Campus of Yangtze University, covering an area of 138 mu. It is an antique commercial street integrating food, leisure, night market, trendy play and homestay. On the morning of September 14, the reporter walked into the Jing Street (Phase I) and noticed that 16 antique buildings had been completed, dotted with landscape sketches such as Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei's theme sculpture, war drum art wall and the light show, forming a unique Three Kingdoms culture-themed street. Currently, with the completion of the work on greening and setting up signs, the project has entered the stage of creating atmosphere.

Under the goal of building the No.1 commercial street in Jingzhou, Jing Street will be built as a combination of local specialties, cultural experiences, courtyard-style inns and homestays, entertainment and leisure. According to Zhao Yuan, executive director of Business Management Company at Hubei Culture & Tourism (Jingzhou) Group, the investment attraction rate of the street has reached 75%, of which the catering industry accounts for a half, including the most distinctive local catering brands and snack formats such as Songzi Du's Chicken, Gongan Beef, Shishou Master Wan's Pot-stewed Meat Dish, etc. In addition, there are hotels, private cinemas, games such as Escape Room and Script Kill, Han-costume Museum and "Jingzhou Gift" cultural creativity store. In a word, efforts are being made to build Jing Street into an urban living room, a new landmark for cultural tourism and a gathering place for trendy play.

During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the Food Plaza on Jing Street opened on a trial basis, attracting 50,000 citizens and tourists. On September 29, Zhao Yuan told the reporter, an opening ceremony will be held here, and the project service teams of Xi'an Datang Sleepless Night City and Kaifeng Qingming Shanghe Park will be invited to install facilities and lanterns to liven up the atmosphere. At that time, the whole street will be lit up by more than 6,000 lanterns of different styles and 65 stores will open for business. At the same time, float parade, folk arts, Han-costume show, folk acrobatics and other activities will be presented one by one to enrich the experience for tourists and inject new consumption vitality into the city’s night market.
