Jingzhou University Town (Urban Renewal) Digital Industry Innovation Center, in the core of Jingzhou University Town, is an integral part of the town. Phase I of the project, which started this August, is under construction and expected to be completed in early 2023.

The project lies to the east of Xuesi Road, the west of Zhumeng Road, the south of Chengfeng Road and the north of Jingjiang Avenue in Jingzhou District, and adjoins Jingzhou University Town Central Park to the east. With a total land area of about 11,500 square meters and a total floor area of about 7,500 square meters, the center is a public building integrating the features of urban brain command center and big data office. The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase I - the three-story city brain center with a total investment of 73 million yuan is under intensive construction.

"The main structure of Phase I is under construction, the structural construction of the second floor is complete, and the structural construction of the third floor structure is under way," said Li Dachao, Project Manager of Phase I. "The main structure is expected to be completed on November 25. With decoration works in parallel, Phase I is expected to be completed and delivered in early 2023."

According to the schedule, an 18-story digital building will be constructed in Phase II. Early preparations are under way.

"With a floor area of 26,700 square meters, the digital building is an 18-story high-rise building with a general cultural activity center as its main feature," said Li. "There are public toilets, a fire control room and other facilities on the 1st floor; and the general cultural activity center and offices are on the 2nd-18th floors."

Based on science education and R&D, Jingzhou University Town aims to build a great innovation corridor constituted by universities and creative industry bases. With focus on strengthening the industry chains of advanced intelligent manufacturing, innovation services and intelligent health, it will lead industrial transformation and upgrading. 12 sub-projects of Jingzhou University Town, including Digital Industry Innovation Center, Headquarters Innovation Park, Student Entrepreneurship Center and Innovation Building, will jointly build an innovation & wisdom valley with the features of "achievement transformation, innovation incubation, office, external communication and supporting services".
