A series of trade promotion events themed “China Chamber of International Commerce Entering Jingzhou” jointly launched by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Hubei Sub-Council (CCPIT Hubei), China Chamber of International Commerce, Hubei Chamber of Commerce (CCOIC-Hubei), and Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government kicked off in Jingzhou on February 15. In the afternoon, Wu Jin, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, met with some guest representatives, and attended an investment promotion conference under the theme of “making strides in building a pilot zone and join hands to create a more brilliant Jingzhou”.
Hu Zhonghai, Director of the CCPIT Hubei, Cao Jiachang, chairman of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel, the Jingzhou government officials Liu Huiwen, Xia Guanghong, and Li Gan, as well as the representatives from foreign embassies and consulates in China, foreign affair offices in Hubei, commerce associations, trade and investment promotion agencies, and foreign enterprises also attended the event. The promotion meeting was presided over by Liu Huiwen, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Jingzhou.
During the meeting, Wu Jin gave a warm welcome to those conducting business investigations in Jingzhou. He said on the occasion of building a pilot zone for new economic dynamic, the city had issued more favorable policies for business investment, demonstrated more comprehensive advantages and the momentum for revitalization had been unleashing. Leapfrog development will be witnessed, the urban capacity will be upgraded, and the city’s economic output will hit a record high. Wu expected more foreign enterprises to invest and develop industry in Jingzhou, so that these businesses from different areas can have access to development opportunities and join hand with us to create a better future. He hoped this event could create an opportunity for foreign businessmen and international friends to enhance understanding, mutual trust and friendship, and further deepen the cooperation in industry, trade, tourism, and talent exchange, so as to open the door of Jingzhou wider to outside world.
Hu Zhonghai said in his remarks that the CCPIT Hubei focused on Jingzhou’s urban positioning and industrial development, and invited more than 80 representatives from more than 20 countries and regions to Jingzhou, in hope for enhancing mutual understanding, finding opportunities for cooperation, serving as bridges for business cooperation, and contributing its share to attracting investment and adhering to a deeper and wider opening to the outside world. He hoped that the businessmen at home and abroad could know more about Jingzhou and make joint efforts to open a new chapter in constructing the demonstration zones for high-quality development in Jianghan plain.
Cao Jiachang said that this event would further strengthen the friendly and cooperative relationship between Jingzhou and trade and investment promotion agencies, consolidate the regular exchange mechanism, attract more high-quality resources including the textile and garment industry to gather in Jingzhou, and promote the high-quality development of local industries.
During the meeting, Wu Jin and Hu Zhonghai jointly awarded plaques to the Germany branch, the Hungary branch, the Brazil branch and the Angola branch of the Jingzhou International Chamber of Commerce. Deputy Mayor Li Gan gave introduction to investment promotion. Zou Chuanming, Minister-counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, and Tan Shufu, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, delivered a speech via video link.
Shashi District, Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Jingzhou High-tech Zone made investment promotions on site. The Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government inked a deal with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel, and Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and Jingzhou High-tech Zone signed contracts with Winliner Global information Technology(Wuhan) Co.,Ltd. respectively.
It is said that the guests attending the investment promotion activities will survey the key enterprises in Jingzhou Economic Development Zone and Songzi City, participate in the exchange meetings attended by foreign commerce associations, trade and investment promotion agencies, and foreign enterprises, and conduct field trips to know Jingzhou’s investment environment.
