Thousands Years of Chu charm is Embodied in Shishou while Spring Breezing at Peach Blossom Mountain. On the morning of March 18, the 2023 Peach Blossom Mountain Tourism Season kicked off with a grand opening ceremony. Shishou City has set up a stage of Chu style among the peach blossom landscape for the sing and dance drama by which to tell the story of Chu culture and Shishou, sing the main theme of revitalization and development, and march towards a new journey of high-quality development.

Zhou Changjun, member of the Standing Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Tang Jianjun, member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Vice President of the Hunan Academy of Social Sciences, Li Bo, Secondary Inspector of the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Wu Chuanbiao, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Hubei Culture and Tourism Group, and other leaders attended the event and jointly launched the 2023 Shishou Peach Blossom Mountain Tourism Season. In an instant, the seeds grew, and peach flowers blew densely on the stage.

Everyone is welcomed to enjoy the beauty of Chu land. In response to the decision of the Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government to hold the Chu Culture Festival, the performance was designed with typical Chu culture, and was divided into four chapters: local affection, friendship, romance, and family taste and national sentiment, telling the historical changes of Shishou and the people's softer passion for the hometown, and presenting the magnificent scenery of the peach blossoms.

The first performance "Wan Wu" brought by the actors of Hubei Provincial Opera and Dance Drama Theater recreated the civilization of the Zoumaling ruins, expressed their attachment for the hometown, and showed the deep and bold feelings of the ancestors of Zoumaling to this land.

In recent years, Shishou City has always put the cultural tourism on an important position by promoting the joint development of cultural tourism in the southern and northern of the Jingjiang River, accelerating the formation of a new development paradigm of full-coverage tourism, and striving to build an eco-tourism city that integrates agriculture, culture and tourism.

The "Top Ten Tourism Commodities", "Top Ten Homestay and Agritourism", and“Top Ten Cooperative Travel Agencies”of Shishou City in 2023 were also released today.

Oriented by the development goal of “Three Cities, Three Modernizations and Three Doublings”, Shishou City will grow into a riverside industrial city, an eco-tourism city, and a modern logistics city that is livable, business-friendly, and tourist-friendly. It is believed that Shishou City will take this event as an opportunity to make remarkable achievements and start a new spring chapter in the new journey of "creating an urban gateway, building a demonstration zone, and getting a head start".
