On the afternoon of March 22, Wu Jin, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, made investigation on the model city campaign of Jingzhou District. He attended the promotion meeting and emphasized that it is necessary to thoroughly study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, fully understand and follow General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition of socialist spiritual civilization, and condense efforts to build a national civilized city, thus contributing to the construction of a high-quality development demonstration zone in the Jianghan Plain.

Before the meeting, Wu checked the sanitation conditions around the Bell and Drum Tower, Xuandi Palace Market and Xinmin Community in Jingzhou District, learned about the progress of civilized city campaign, and proposed solutions on site to difficulties and problems encountered during the work.

During the meeting, Wu pointed out that it is necessary to have a clear understanding of the situation, stay focused, and make every effort to build a civilized city.

Wu suggested focusing on the priority, making targeted efforts to compensate for the weakness and improving the work quality in an all-round way. Department concerned should carry out extensive Clean City Action, and increase the daily cleaning of urban fringe areas, back streets and alleys, and farmers' markets to create a clean and beautiful urban environment for the first Chu Culture Festival, Jingzhou Marathon and other events, demonstrating a favorable city image. It is required to make every effort to build a beautiful environment and a happy life together, extensively provide voluntary service, and encourage companies, social organizations, building masters, Party members at community level, and citizens in the district to participate in the civilized city campaign, so that everyone can enjoy a civilized and better living environment. According to the requirements of civilized city campaign, department concerned should carry out "Ten Special Actions", pay attention to details, and focus on solving main problems such as damaged building facades, illegal construction in the corridors, and management of stray dogs, to improve the effectiveness of campaign.
