On the evening of March 30, the Concert “Singing the Melody of Jiangjin, Writing the Best Chapter of the Era” of the Shashi District Traditional Orchestra was hosted at the Kaile Theater. It was the fourth performance of the Top-notch Local Opera Tour & Cultural Week of the First Chu Culture Festival. Attendees included Yang Yongzhong, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Commander of the Jingzhou Military Division.

The concert kicked off with the traditional orchestral performance Good News, and the male solo performance Can You Hear Me, My Love (excerpt from the opera The Long March) evoked people’s memories of eventful years in the past and led the younger generations to advocate the spirit of the Long March and remain more committed to revolutionary visions and beliefs. The traditional orchestral performance My Motherland (Excerpt) and the male solo performance Shashi, the Beautiful Popular City sang high praise of China’s rapid changes under the leadership of the Party, and reflected the feelings of the people of Shashi who loved their motherland and hometown, and longed for happiness...

Based on traditional orchestra, the concert featured ensemble, solo performance, vocal performance, and other arresting artistic performances, reflecting the local conditions and customs of Jingzhou. A host of well-known songs and traditional orchestral performances manifested the essence of the magnificent Chu culture with traditional stringed and woodwind instruments, presenting a wonderful feast for the ears while arousing the enterprising spirit of the people of Jingzhou. Each performance received long tumultuous applause from the audience.
