In April when peach and plum flowers bloomed, anti-corruption promotion was in progress in Jingzhou. On the evening of April 5, a drama named Anti-corruption in the Ancient City was staged at the Kaile Theater. It was the 10^th performance of the Top-notch Local Opera Tour & Cultural Week of the First Chu Culture Festival. Attendees included Yan Jigang, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Jingzhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Director of the Jingzhou Municipal Supervisory Committee, Wu Changjun, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Jinan Cultural Tourism Area, who shared a good time with citizens.

The concert included the Han opera Decline of Gold Bribery by Yang Zhen, the Chu opera Mother of Taokan Returned Fish, the Shuoguzi performance (a performance with drums) Donate Life, the Jinghe Opera Yang Pu Scolding His Nephew, and the Flower-drum Opera A Basin of Clear Water. These operas tell the stories of Yang Zhen, a prefecture chief with integrity, Tao Kan, a famous official of Jingzhou in the Jin Dynasty, Yuan Hongdao, a writer of the Ming Dynasty, and Yang Pu, a minster with integrity, and other ancient clean and honest officials of Jingzhou. With superb and skillful acting and melodious singing, the actors did a pretty good imitation of these officials and won repeated applause from the audience.

The concert was sponsored by Jingzhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Publicity Department of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, the Jingzhou Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, and Jingzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and organized by Jingzhou Local Opera Development Institute and Jingzhou Theatre Association. In a pleasing way, local operas were leveraged to tell the stories of clean and honest officials in Jingzhou, and expand anti-corruption promotion to every corner of the city.
