Craftsmen of Ying pursued their dreams in the new era, empowering the development of Jingzhou through superb craftsmanship. On the morning of April 7, the opening ceremony of the 3rd Folkcraft Competition of Hubei Province & 1st “Craftsman of Ying Cup” Jingzhou Vocational Skill Competition was held at the Jingzhou Sports Center. Liu Hong, a member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Deputy Director of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hubei Province, delivered a speech, and Liu Huiwen, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Jingzhou announced the opening of the competition.
Liu Hong pointed out that craftsmen were important to support manufacturing and R & D in China. The Folkcraft Competition of Hubei Province, as a key provincial event of the “Hubei Craftsman Cup,” has been held in Jingzhou for three consecutive years. It not only fully demonstrates the profound history of Jingzhou, but also play a critical role in creating a demonstration zone for high-quality development in Jianghan Plain.
Sponsored by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hubei Province and the People’s Government of Jingzhou, and organized by Jingzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Jingzhou Federation of Trade Unions, this event combines a provincial competition, a city-level competition, and the display of Jingzhou’s progress in building its team of craftsmen. The contestants will compete in eight folkcraft divisions and 16 modern industry divisions (seven categories) to fully showcase their best talent and craftsmanship.
