On April 7, the opening ceremony of the 4th Jingchu Food Festival was held at Wyndham Jingzhou. Ge Xiang, the Second-level Inspector of the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce, attended the event and delivered a speech. Li Gan, Vice Mayor of Jingzhou, attended the event and announced the opening of the 4th Jingchu Food Festival.

During the opening ceremony, Jin Yong, Vice President of China Hotel Association, awarded a plaque of "Best Food City for Chu Cuisine" to Jingzhou. Industry representatives of the Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi metropolitan area announced a joint declaration to jointly promote the development, innovation, and publicity of Chu cuisine. The Civilized Dining Initiative and cultural and creative products of Chu Cuisine were also released on site.

Ge Xiang said that the revitalization of Chu cuisine is in the ascendant. The Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce will vigorously support Jingzhou to meet the people's yearning for a better life by creating Chu cuisine brand, developing high-quality Chu cuisine, cultivating relevant talents, improving cooking skills and highlighting Chu cuisine characteristics, to promote the Chu cuisine to the whole country and the world.

Ge pointed out that he hopes that Jingzhou can take this opportunity to extend industry influencing, revitalize the brand of Chu cuisine, accelerate industry development and innovation to launch distinctive Chu cuisine, and adopt a full industry chain development mode. It is necessary to advocate green consumption, allow consumers to eat their way to health, and expand market share by fostering leading enterprises of Chu cuisine.
