On the morning of April 9, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cultural China film art education center and film town, with a total investment of about RMB 5 billion, was held in Jinan Cultural Tourism District. The project is aimed at building itself into "the First Film Culture and Tourism Demonstration City” based on the scenery and rich cultural resources of Jinan Cultural Tourism Zone, as well as the expertise and resources of Cultural China Industrial Company.
Qi Xuchun, Vice Chairman of the 12th CPPCC National Committee and former Executive Vice Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, Wang Hongling, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Hubei Provincial Committee and Chairman of Hubei Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, Wang Shi, Chairman of the Chinese Culture Promotion Society, Wu Jin, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Zhou Xiangyang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Qin Mingshan, Deputy Secretary-general of the CPPCC Hubei Provincial Committee, Jiang Ping, former Vice Director of the SARFT Film Department, former General Manager of China Film Co., Ltd., Co-founder of Shanghai International Film Festival, and Chief Adviser to the "Cultural China" film town project, Hou Jian, Chairman of Culture Media Group of China, Xu Lei, President of Beijing Zhonglian Guoxing Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and leaders of Jingzhou Jin Peng, Wan Jiangping, and Wu Changjun attended the groundbreaking ceremony. Vice Mayor of Jingzhou Jin Peng presided over the ceremony.
Wu Jin announced the commencement of the foundation laying of the "Cultural China" film art education center and film town project.

"Cultural China" film art education center and film town is located next to the former capital of Chu State, which will certainly set a new benchmark for the development of Jingzhou's cultural tourism industry, infuse new life to the creative transformation and innovative development of Jingzhou culture, and make new contributions to the prosperous development of cultural establishments and the cultural tourism industry. We will spare no effort to provide the best, efficient, and caring service to promote the completion of the project, and strive to build "the first film culture and tourism demonstration capital".
Jiang Ping said that the launch of the Cultural China in Jingzhou is an important event in the development of the Chinese film industry. The first phase of the project covers an area of 670 mu, with an overall construction area of about 400,000 square meters and a total investment of about RMB 5 billion. By taking the main venue of Hubei International Film Festival--World Waterfront as the core IP and integrating the functional display featured with Jingzhou + world film characteristic culture, the project is planning to build four key function zones of education, industry, performance, and commerce, and striving to create an immersive experience hall for the artistic creation of hundreds of movie stars and filmmakers, the "Avenue of Stars" movie-themed commercial street, a film industry art education center, an innovative and venture base for talents of film industry, a Jingchu cultural digital photography base, so as to form a green industrial cluster that combines film art and education and integrates industry, education, tourism and entertainment, thus ultimately developing into “the First Film Culture and Tourism Demonstration City" with international influence.
