On April 27, the second phase of the 133rd Canton Fair closed. During the fair, there were five corporate exhibitors from Jingzhou which set up seven booths to display light industrial products such as furniture, personal care products, garden supplies, gifts, and toys. These exhibitors received pre-orders worth USD1.732 million.
There were 123 inquiries per day for five companies from Jingzhou, including Hubei Greentown Sports Industry Co., Ltd., Jingzhou Aijie Cotton Swab Co., Ltd., Hubei Daxin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Jingzhou Meihou Plastic Magnet Co., Ltd., and Hubei Jinzhuangyuan Sports Equipment Co., Ltd. Intended customers came from 24 countries in Europe, Asia, North America, South America and Africa. Compared with the first phase, there was a significant increase in the number of customers from Europe and the United States.
Hitherto, there were 55 pre-orders worth USD1.732 million in the second phase of the Canton Fair, up by 8.3% from the previous year. The person on behalf of Hubei Greentown stated that the company had received pre-orders worth USD870,000 since the opening of the second phase, showing a “higher than expected” increase. He also said that, at present, there was one company that visited a plant of theirs for investigations, six customers invited for project negotiations, and another several customers invited for online communication about customized products.
Facing the complex and ever-changing global market, exhibitors will adapt to new industry trends, gradually step up R & D efforts, and expand product applications. Moreover, the Jingzhou Commerce Bureau will actively react to new situations and changes, provide guidance, training, and some other services for companies, and encourage and support them to participate in well-known exhibitions worldwide such as the Canton Fair. This will enable global trading, allow companies to receive more orders and expand markets, and boost the city’s foreign trade.
