Recently, Jingzhou Aviation Industrial Park, Jingzhou’s first Airport industrial park for economic pilot programs that integrates multimodal transport logistics and agricultural and sideline product trade, was unveiled. This marked a faster pace in the construction of the airport economic zone in Jingzhou.
Jingzhou Aviation Industrial Park has been jointly built by the People’s Government of Jiangling County and Jingzhou Airport Construction Management Co., Ltd. with a total investment of RMB2 billion and located in the Yanjiang Industrial Park of Jiangling County. Covering an area of 60,000 m2, it consists of a service zone, a logistics zone, a cold storage zone, a trade zone, and a parking lot with a planned cargo throughput of 1,000 tons. In the future, there will be a comprehensive, three-dimensional, and intelligent supply chain system that focuses on Jingzhou and extends services into Jingmen, Qianjiang, Tianmen, among other cities, an aviation distribution base in Jingzhou, and an integrated agricultural distribution base that distribute agricultural products such as seafood, flowers, prefabricated food, and fruit. With these systems and bases, the industrial park will help the Jianghan Plain and the Dongting Lake Plain upgrade agricultural products.
A ceremony was held to confer a plaque to the Jiangling Cargo Station of Jingzhou Shashi Airport. This cargo station was expected to extend its function as a transportation hub from Jingzhou Shashi Airport to Jiangling County, enable cargo transportation between Jiangling County and Jingzhou Shashi Airport, and connect Jiangling and surrounding companies with other areas of the country. The Jiangling-Jingzhou Shashi Airport-Downtown Jingzhou bus also started operation.
