On the morning of May 11, Wu Jin, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, went to the factories, project sites and wetland parks in the central urban area to carry out field inspection of ecological environment protection and safe production without notice and report. He made criticism to the responsible units on site and required them to solve the problems and hidden dangers encountered in the process of inspection within a fixed period.  

Wu made site investigation to the Phase II of the Digital Industry Innovation Research Center in Jingzhou College Town and the waste gas treatment upgrading project of SINOPEC SJ Petroleum Machinery Company, carefully checked the dust controlling work, and supervised the unit to speed up the progress of the waste gas treatment project. He pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen dust control, implement standardized management and adopt spray dust-removal, car-washing before entering and leaving, road hardening and other measures to minimize dust pollution at the construction site as much as possible. All enterprises should set up the concept of green development, increase inputs of fund, technology and equipment for pollution control, and strive to achieve synergy in the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions.

Wu visited Xinqiao River ecological restoration project in Jingzhou District and the Guanghuyuan Wetland Park. He learned about the difficulties encountered in the resumption of the ecological restoration project and water pollution around the park, and worked with the department and project leaders to find solutions. He stressed that it is necessary to apply a problem-oriented approach, focus on the difficulties and pain points of the Xinqiao River ecological restoration project, and take targeted measures to promote the resumption of the project as soon as possible. He pointed that the authorities should work together to promote the construction of urban drainage pipeline, rainwater and sewage diversion system, and pipeline networks, and strengthen the sponge treatment solution for flooding, control of blackening and stink of rivers, and effective utilization of rainwater, accelerating the construction of an ecological and livable city.

Wu made a visit to Hubei Nengtai Technology Company and the oil depot of PetroChina in Jingzhou. He carefully checked the management of dangerous goods in the factory and learned about the safety management system in detail. He stressed that safe production is the lifeline of enterprises. It is necessary to set up the concept of "safe production is no small matter", further improve full chain supervision system, and strive to plug up loopholes, prevent risks, and eliminate hidden dangers, so as to achieve high-quality development and high-level benign interaction. It is required to implement the "Common Responsibility System of the Party and Administration" and "Two Duties for One Post", clarify the responsibilities of leadership, localized management, industry supervision and enterprises in safe production, and take effective personal, physical and technical protection measures to prevent the occurrence of major and serious accidents.
