On May 26, contracts were signed for 52 textile and apparel projects, each at a value level of over RMB 100 million and with a total planned investment of RMB36.956 billion, at the Development Conference for China’s Textile and Apparel Industry 2023 & Opening Ceremony of the “Golden Childhood Town” High-tech Venture Park.

These projects involve all aspects of the textile and apparel industry such as raw material production, apparel manufacturing, eco-printing and eco-dyeing, and intelligent processing. Those stood out among them included the Guannan Integrated Knitting Printing and Dyeing Base with an investment of RMB10.8 billion from Zhejiang Guannan Knitting Dyeing and Finishing Co., Ltd., the Zhijing Jingzhou Intelligent Maternal and Child Fabric Weaving Park with an investment of RMB4 billion from Guangzhou Zhijing Information Technology Co., Ltd., and the Jingzhou Zhongbing Huanqiu Digital Cloud Project with an investment of RMB1.5 billion from Zhongbing Huanqiu Technology Co., Ltd.  

It was learned that, in 2022, there was 152 textile companies with an annual output of 260,000 tons of spun cotton yarn, 54 million meters of ramie cloth, 360 million meters of cotton cloth, 250 million meters of printed and dyed cloth, and 350 million pieces of apparel — altogether worth RMB20billion. As one of the RMB50 billion industries that the “4+6+1+1” modern industrial system of Jingzhou puts a premium on, the textile and apparel industry has scaled up output, scale, and efficiency through investment promotion, technological upgrading, mergers and reorganizations, integration and agglomeration, and breakthroughs, shaping the pattern of “one town, three parks and five bases” and solidifying itself from upstream to downstream. It is committed to building a pivotal textile and apparel base in Central China.
