The first few stops included the Central China E-commerce Industrial Park, the Chu Culture Digital Industry Park, and the Chu Culture Pavilion of the Garden Expo Park. Visitors found it enchanting to see the expanded range of agricultural and sideline products and the anchor's promotion in the Central China E-commerce Industrial Park, new digital formats such as artificial intelligence, blockchain applications, and e-commerce and exhibition economy in the Chu Culture Digital Industrial Park, as well as remarkable literary classics, calligraphy, and paintings, as well as exuberant music and dance in the Chu Culture Pavilion of the Garden Expo Park.

In the 8,200m2 exhibition hall of the King of Chu’s Horse-drawn Chariots, ancient relics were placed opposite to modern technologies. While being awed by the majesty of Chu as a great state, visitors also fell for the charm of the Chu culture.

Wei Xiangrong, Director of the Editorial Department of the Xuexi Qiangguo Xianyang Learning Platform, said, “We have a lot to learn from Jingzhou in terms of conservation, creative transformation, and innovative utilization of traditional culture, especially digital development and presentation where it is a pioneer.”

Guo Xiaoying, Director of Operations of The Press, said, “The birthplaces of the Chu culture included Terracotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang in Northern China, and the King of Chu’s Horse-drawn Chariots in Southern China. The biggest difference between these two is that the latter has real horses and chariots. Jingzhou did a pretty good job in conservation and development, including revamp without removing the original."

In the exhibition building of Jingzhou Museum, the docent offered a detailed introduction to stories behind cultural relics. In the front of various well-preserved marvelous cultural relics, visitors were amazed in awe and took pictures to keep them in memory.

Long Chengdu, CEO of Hunan Quyue Technology Co., Ltd., “When I arrived at Jingzhou Museum, I saw copious cultural relics, including the Sword of Goujian and the Sword of King of Chu, which epitomizes economic boom and frequent cultural exchanges with other countries during the prime days of Chu. This visit has made me feel that a media representative should leverage new media to communicate and display what he/she has seen, heard, observed and felt in Jingzhou.”

Amidst vicissitudes of time, the Chu culture has been passed down for thousands of years and it is still vibrant. At present, Jingzhou is on a new journey and prepares to make breakthroughs in industrial production. After watching brilliant relics of the Chu culture, media representatives visited Hubei Midea Refrigerator Co., Ltd. and Hubei W-OLF Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. to see the “lighthouse factory” and the production process of optical filters, and explore modern industrial innovation and development. In the workshop, visitors were impressed by automatic operations on the assembly line and intelligent production.

Zhou Linbo, Assistant President of Jiangxi Dangdai Middle School Student Newspaper Co., Ltd., said, “Jingzhou is a large city that teams antique elements with modern ones. We should promote and recommend good practices in Jingzhou in this regard.”

Pan Guoli, Director of Baoji Daily, said, “Jingzhou is a culturally rich city with a long history, as well as a pioneer in industrial development which stays current with latest trends in today’s world.”

Visitors all found the tour rewarding and worthwhile. Peng Xiaoping, a member of the Chinese Institute of Prose and President of the Self-Media Association of Nanchong, Sichuan Province, wrote a poem entitled “This is Jingzhou” to express his love for Jingzhou.

Peng Xiaoping said, “I have never been to Jingzhou before. I only knew that the Honghu Lake is in Jingzhou and that city is reputed as the land of milk and honey, but it is vulnerable to flood disasters. When I arrive at Jingzhou, its natural endowment and connections with famous people in history move and inspire me in literature or art creation as well as business management. I will come to Jingzhou again in the future.”
