On July 6, the launch ceremony of the event “Pairing Together Demand Seekers and Solution Givers” was held in Jingzhou. It was sponsored by the Organization Department of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee (Office of Personnel Management), and organized by Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology and Yangtze University. Attendants included 50 representatives of companies, universities, and talented individuals in Jingzhou.
At the ceremony, the Office of Personnel Management of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee explained the execution plan of the event “Pairing Together Demand Seekers and Solution Givers,” including project application, demonstration and selection, review and comparison, project announcement, and pairing and public announcement; persons on behalf of companies such as SJ Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd. and Hubei Sletpetro Technology Co. Ltd. stated that they would fully cooperate with this event and jointly build liaison channels for interaction between companies, talented individuals and university-based research institutes; the person on behalf of Yangtze University stated that they would actively participate in this event and solve production problems of companies by leveraging their research capabilities.
The aim of this event was to fully leverage research capabilities of the faculty teams in key colleges and universities across the country, and integrate academic research into the process of corporate R&D for normalized, intensified, and mechanism-based cooperation on technological research between universities and companies; accelerate the integration of talent team training, commercialization of technological achievements attained by universities, and technological problem solving for companies; and further intensify industry-academy-research-user cooperation, and boost the high-quality development of the industrial economy in Jingzhou.
Next, Jingzhou will employ a wide range of methods to solicit technological difficulties and problems from companies above designated size, especially leading enterprises and key enterprises in the “4+6+1+1” modern industrial system, organize expert review and demonstration, select influential research topics that can play a driving role across an expanded range of fields and announce the final list of research topics to key colleges and universities in Jingzhou and other regions of the country.
