The last box girder was erected and the Jingjing Railway successfully crossed the Hanyi Line

In the early morning of July 28, after 5 hours of closed construction, the newly built Jingmen-Jingzhou Railway (hereinafter referred to as "Jingjing Railway") crossed the last hole of the Hanyi Line. The railway successfully crossed the Hanyi Line, opening up the "throat arteries" for the subsequent bridge deck and track laying construction.

The newly built Jingmen Jingzhou Railway starts from Jingmen West Station and passes through counties (cities) such as Jingmen, Shayang, and Jingzhou.  The final line connects with Jingzhou Station, with a total length of 77.479 kilometers.  China Railway 12th Bureau undertakes the task of erecting 343 box beams on the Jingjing Railway.  Among them, 6 beams span the Hanyi Railway, with a length of 32 meters and a weight of 390 tons.  The construction line faces the problem of large slope, and the builders need to use 6 Class II and 11 Class III blockade points to complete the construction task of crossing the existing line, which is difficult, high-risk, and tight in schedule.

In order to reduce the impact of construction on the existing railway, the Jingjing Railway and the Hanyi Line are overlapped and parallel.  The maximum hoisting weight of a single steel cap beam is 173.8 tons.  The builders of China Railway No. 12 Bureau used C30 concrete to lay out the rectangular square matrix.  After the pile construction was completed, it was statically rolled with a road roller, and at the same time, a 0.2-meter-thick gravel layer was laid.  Multiple measures ensure that the roadbed is "hard as gold", so that the whole hoisting process goes steadily, turns smoothly, and the beam falls accurately.  During the hoisting construction process, the operation process is strictly regulated, the construction process control is strengthened, and the on-site construction organization is strengthened.  It was successfully completed in November 2022.  On May 22, it exclusively completed the steel cover beam construction of 5 portal piers on the whole line, laying a solid foundation for the construction of the cross-Hanyi line beam erection.

The Jingjing high-speed railway is a key inter-regional transportation network project in the national "13th Five-Year" comprehensive transportation system plan, and an important part of the Hunan high-speed railway in my country's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway networks.  After the Jingjing high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, Hubei Province will realize the long-cherished wish of "city-to-city high-speed railway", which will further improve the comprehensive transportation system in Central Hubei and promote the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
