In midsummer, the Jianghan Plain ushers in the season of fragrant melons and fruits throughout the year. The watermelons from Shishou, the grapes from Gong'an, and the yellow peaches from the Three Lakes in Jiangling are on the market one after another. The fruit industry is becoming a rich industry for the people of Jingzhou.

Right now, Gong'an grapes have officially entered the ripening period. In Bihui Garden in Buhe Town, Gong'an County, 31 acres of grapes in the park have been pre-sold for more than 20 acres. On the side of the park, the sunny roses with large crowns and sparse planting also ushered in their first high yield.

In the Sanhu Management Zone of Jiangling County, the 500 acre yellow peach of the Chuguo Manor Agricultural Products Professional Cooperative is mature. Thanks to the suitable climate conditions, this year the growth of yellow peaches is exceptionally promising, with a yield of 2500 to 3000 kilograms per mu. As early as early July, the cooperative's pre-sale orders were already full.

In recent years, the Sanhu Management Zone has vigorously developed the cultivation of yellow peaches and focused on building a small town of yellow peaches. Yellow peaches have become a leading industry in the local area.

In Jingzhou District, pears are harvested plentifully. In Songzi, Shishou and other places, the melons have been on the market one after another since June, becoming a hot commodity in the market.

According to statistics, Jingzhou produces over 500000 tons of over 20 types of fruits each year, including pears, oranges, peaches, watermelons, grapes, etc. Among them, the ones with relatively large planting areas and yields include watermelon from Shishou, Songzi, and Jingzhou districts, yellow peaches from Jiangling, Cuiguan pears from Gong'an and Jingzhou districts, grapes from Gong'an, and orange pomelo from Songzi and Gong'an. In addition, characteristic fruits such as kumquats, kiwifruit, and dragon fruit have also been produced. The fruit industry is injecting "sweet power" into the rural revitalization of Jingzhou.
