Recently, the reporter came to the construction site of the second bid section of the core section project of the west extension line of Fuxing Avenue (the Taihu Lake Avenue to Mapaoquan Road).  White street lights were orderly arranged beside the road, and workers were laying sidewalks.  The construction work was in order.

The second section has completed about 80% of the project quantity, "said Xu Jie, the project site manager. This section mainly consists of two main roads and two auxiliary roads. The laying construction of the main road has been completed, and the final layer of asphalt is still waiting for the auxiliary road. Electrical engineering has completed more than 90%, green construction has completed more than 70%, and supporting projects such as sidewalks and conical slope protection are also being accelerated. It is expected that the entire section will be completed in early October.

The core section project of the West Extension of Fuxing Avenue starts from Yushi Road in Jingzhou High tech Zone in the east, connects to the Jianghan Canal Bridge on Fuxing Avenue in Jingzhou, and ends at Huangtai Road in the west. The total length is 2764 meters, and the width of the road red line is 70 meters. The main line is designed at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, and the auxiliary road is 40 kilometers per hour. It is an important channel for the external connection of Jingzhou High tech Zone. The construction content includes ground main roads, bridge pier space (reserved for the construction of long-term elevated expressways), Gangbei Canal Bridge, cross logistics park river box culvert, as well as supporting projects such as drainage, strong and weak electricity, and street lighting.

At present, the third bid section (from Yushi Road to the Taihu Lake Avenue) of the core section project of the west extension line of Fuxing Avenue has been opened to traffic during the May Day holiday this year. The second bid section (from the Taihu Lake Avenue to Mapaoquan Road) is expected to be completed in early October. The first bid section (from Mapaoquan Road to Huangtai Road) is accelerating. After the entire line is opened, the comprehensive transportation capacity of the area will be greatly improved, meeting the convenient and efficient travel needs of the circulation projects along the line and the public.
