Recently, the Industrial Office of Jingzhou City issued the "Development Plan for the Doubling of Leading Advantage Industries", proposing to promote the development, growth, transformation and upgrading of five leading advantage industries, including agricultural product processing, textile and clothing, intelligent equipment, modern chemical industry, and characteristic cultural tourism, striving to achieve a total output value of 540 billion yuan by 2027.

Jingzhou is known as the "land of fish and rice" and the "granary of the world".  It is an important production base for commodity grains, cotton, oil, pigs, fish, and other products in China, with 194 geographical indications for green food, organic agricultural products, and agricultural products. The city focuses on industries such as freshwater fish, crayfish, meat products, and aquatic vegetables, improves the entire chain of agricultural products' production, processing, transportation, storage, and sales, builds a national agricultural product trading and distribution base, and the city of prefabricated vegetables in central China, striving to achieve a total industrial output value of 130 billion yuan in agricultural product processing by 2027.

Jingzhou's textile and clothing industry has a long history, with over 1000 existing textile and clothing enterprises, forming a relatively complete industrial chain from cotton processing, spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, clothing, packaging to sales. By leveraging the unique advantages of infant and child clothing, ramie, and printing and dyeing, the city will focus on green high-end printing and dyeing, new chemical fiber materials, branded clothing and clothing, professional markets, and supply chain service platforms. We will fully build an important industrial base for textile and clothing in central China, striving to achieve a total industrial output value of 60 billion yuan in textile and clothing by 2027.

Focusing on the intelligent equipment industry, Jingzhou will mainly focus on the manufacturing of white appliances, high-end emerging products, and core components. It will build a demonstration base for the transformation and upgrading of the central China intelligent home appliance industry, an automobile component industry, a high-end energy equipment manufacturing demonstration base, and an engineering machinery intelligent manufacturing base.  It will actively plan to build a green intelligent ship production base in Jiangling, striving to achieve a total industrial output value of 150 billion yuan in intelligent equipment by 2027.

In the field of modern chemical industry, Jingzhou will leverage its advantages in port terminals, coal storage and distribution bases, and chemical parks, focusing on modern coal chemical, salt chemical, phosphorus chemical, silicon chemical, and biopharmaceutical industries. Accelerate the promotion of projects such as Hualu Hengsheng, Stanley, Pioneer Rare Materials, and Lianshi Chemical, and create a well-known modern chemical product gathering area and new energy and new material industry base in central China and even across the country.  Strive to achieve a total industrial output value of over 100 billion yuan in modern chemical industry by 2027.

Jingzhou will also explore cultural tourism resources such as Chu culture, Three Kingdoms culture, red culture, and Yangtze River culture, accelerate the construction of a cultural and tourism consumption demonstration city, and strive to achieve total tourism revenue of 100 billion yuan by 2027.
