Recently, the Provincial Science and Technology Association approved the establishment of a provincial expert workstation by the team of Hubei Linkun Hongyuan Carpet Co., Ltd. and Zhang Chaocan, a professor at the School of Materials at Wuhan University of Technology. So far, Jingzhou has built five provincial expert workstations this year.
Hubei Linkun Hongyuan Carpet Co., Ltd. was established in March 2010 and is located in Jinping Industrial Park, Shishou. It is mainly engaged in carpet design, production, sales and service, with an annual production capacity of 15 million square meters. In September 2020, the company and Wuhan University of Technology jointly established the "Healthy Recyclable New Material Technology R&D Center". Zhang Chaocan's expert team helps the company develop new environmentally friendly materials to reduce production costs, solve production process technical problems, and enhance the company's core competitiveness. The company Sales revenue will increase from 140 million yuan in 2021 to 200 million yuan in 2022. It has successively won the title of "China's Well-known Trademark" and "Hubei Province's First Batch of Hidden Champion Cultivation Enterprises in Pillar Industry Subdivisions", and Hubei Province's Specialized, Special and New "Little Giant" "Enterprise title.
After the establishment of the expert workstation, the Shishou City Association for Science and Technology will actively guide Linkun Hongyuan Company and the expert team of Wuhan University of Technology to further deepen the cooperation between industry, academia, and research. The plan is to carry out project construction in three aspects: infrastructure construction, technological innovation project development, and innovative talent cultivation, providing scientific guidance and technical support for the high-quality development of the enterprise.
As of now, there are a total of 63 expert workstations in the city, including 52 provincial-level workstations (2 academician workstations and 50 expert workstations) and 11 municipal level workstations.
