Recently, the fully automatic continuous fluid injection equipment jointly developed by SJS Petroleum Drilling and Production Equipment Co., Ltd. and the Oil and Chemical Business Unit of China National Offshore Oil Services has successfully completed its first sea trial in the cementing operation of the "Nanhai 5" drilling platform, becoming the first fully automatic continuous fluid injection equipment in China to successfully achieve industrial application.
In offshore oil platform drilling operations, cementing operation is an important link in oil and gas extraction. During the cementing process, it is necessary to add cementing fluids such as retarders and fluid loss reducers. The accuracy of the addition directly affects the efficiency and quality of the cementing operation.
Xiao Xiong, Chief Engineer of the Engineering Department of SJS Petroleum Drilling and Production Equipment Co., Ltd., said that the failure of cementing operations may lead to the direct abandonment of a well, and the losses caused are all in billions, so this is a very important link.
Traditional cementing operations require manual addition, which is intensive and error-prone. In order to solve this problem, SJS and CNOOC jointly launched the research and development of fully automatic continuous liquid addition equipment. From design to manufacturing to testing, it took more than a year. After more than 200 performance and quality tests, cementing liquid additives were developed from Manual batch addition is upgraded to automatic continuous addition to achieve unmanned intelligent operation.
Xiao Xiong said, "The on-site manual labor is prone to human errors and deviations. Automatic LAS can effectively solve some of the errors caused by manual labor and greatly improve the quality of our cementing operations."
The fully automatic LAS has a total of 8 liquid storage tanks, which can transport more than 150 liters of liquid per minute. It is suitable for cement slurry systems with a viscosity of over 95%, and the conveying accuracy is as high as 99.5%. The success of the sea trial marks that Siji Saiwa Company has fully mastered the key core technology of fully automatic cementing equipment application, providing the first technological equipment for national marine energy development.
