The deputy governor of Maranhão state in Brazil led a delegation visited Jingzhou

From October 16th to 17th, Felipe Camarão, Deputy Governor and Minister of Education of Maranhão State in Brazil, led a state government inspection delegation to Jingzhou to further deepen bilateral relations and promote cooperation in culture, industry, economy and trade, etc.  Zhu Xiaobin, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Party Committee, Zhou Hanzhong, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, Li Gan, deputy mayor, and Han Xu, deputy mayor and secretary of the Jianli Municipal Party Committee, attended relevant activities respectively.

In Jingzhou, Felipe Camarão and his party visited the Binyang Tower at the east gate of the ancient city of Jingzhou, inspected Xiaohu Duck Food Co., Ltd., Midea Refrigerator Jingzhou Industrial Park, Henglong Automobile Systems Group Co., Ltd., and went to Jianli City for inspection Nine Dragons Paper (Hubei) Co., Ltd. The delegation believes that Jingzhou has profound historical and cultural heritage and good economic development momentum. The two places have broad prospects for future cooperation. They hope that the two sides will continue to deepen friendly exchanges and strengthen cooperation in multiple fields. They also look forward to Jingzhou enterprises investing in Maranhão.

It is reported that in recent years, economic and trade exchanges between Jingzhou City and Brazil have been continuously strengthened. In 2022, the total import and export volume of Jingzhou City will reach 210 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 92.6%. Among them, exports were US$180 million, a year-on-year increase of 78.5%; imports were US$30.15 million, a year-on-year increase of 252.4%.
