In order to further put the entrepreneurship campaign “Starting a Business and Revitalizing Your Hometown in Hubei” that called on people from Hubei to start businesses in their hometowns, the Guangdong promotional session was held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center on the afternoon of November 10. Attendees included Zhang Guoqing, a member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Deputy Director of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hubei Province.

Zhang Guoqing stated that Guangdong is one of the regions in China with the highest openness. Over the years, millions of people migrated from Hubei to Guangdong, and some of them achieved success and became the bonds between these two places. Every year, human resources and social security departments at all levels in Hubei granted more than CNY200 million to a variety of entrepreneurship projects. Facing a rare opportunity to encourage former migrators to start businesses in their hometowns, these departments provided those people with a better entrepreneurship and business environment, more talent support, and grants, thus contributing to the development of Hubei.

Guangdong and Hubei joined hands for mutual development. The promotional event attracted 127 entrepreneurs from Guangdong Province who were born in Hubei Province. The main responsible persons from the bureaus of human resources and social security of Jingzhou, Huanggang, Xiantao, Tianmen, and Qianjiang interacted and signed contracts with attending entrepreneurs. Jingzhou signed contracts with Shenzhen Jinshangyang Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Xishuai Clothing Co., Ltd.

At the following symposium, officials exchanged ideas with entrepreneurs who migrated from Jingzhou to Guangdong, and debriefed their’ thoughts, expectations, and urgent needs to help them chase dreams in their hometowns based on their requests.
