On the morning of March 3, the Jingzhou Learning from Lei Feng Day event & “Practice in Good Deeds” volunteer service fair were held at the Jinfeng Square. Attendees included Liu Huiping, a member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee.

During the event, four outstanding volunteers including Guo Daihong, Chen Shangshun, Zhu Yaning, and Li Junhong were awarded the certificate of “most liked person in the community”; volunteers from the Base for Practice in Good Deeds in the New Era (Jingzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and the Station for Practice in Good Deeds (Dongcheng Sub-district, Jingzhou District) presented two projects: “Promotion of Wellness Methodology in Traditional Chinese Medicine” and the Lei Feng Mutual Assistance Station; Sun Ye, the “Role Model of Jingzhou” in 2022, read the proposal of the “practice in good deeds” campaign on behalf of all volunteers.

At the campaign’s volunteer service market, more than 100 volunteers from eight city-level bases for practice in good deeds in the new era and 10 organizations as voluntary service providers in Jingzhou District provided free medical services, employment advice, legal assistance, among volunteer services, to citizens.

At present, Jingzhou has built eight centers for practice in good deeds in the new era, 129 stations for practice in good deeds in the new era, 1,873 substations for practice in good deeds in the new era and 179 bases for practice in good deeds in the new era. Volunteers relied on these as a means to learn and practice scientific theories, promote and disseminate the Party’s policies, foster and practice mainstream values, and diversify cultural activities, thereby giving mass appeal to learning from Leifeng in Jingzhou.
