Blooming peach blossoms attracted people from all over the country. On March 16, a large live event with the theme of “Meeting Your Soul Mates in Shishou, Seeing Blooming Peach Blossoms Together” presented by Hubei Daily with a new model came as expected. As of 18:00 on February 16, the live broadcast generated more than 8.099 million views across the Internet, and the hashtag “Meeting Each Other in Shishou to See Blooming Peach Blossoms” generated more than 1.5 million reads on Weibo. Eight county-level integrated media centers in Jingzhou joined hands to gain massive online exposure using new models.
In order to enhance the influence of festive activities across counties (county-level cities or districts), and promote the integrated development of media for a synergy in communications, Hubei Daily Jingzhou Branch led the collaboration between eight counties including Shishou, Jianli, Honghu, Gong’an, Jingzhou District, Shashi, Songzi, and Jiangling to jointly present the live event with the theme of “Meeting Your Soul Mates in Shishou, Seeing Blooming Peach Blossoms Together.”

The event was live broadcast across all online platforms including Hubei Daily’s WeChat video account, Douyin account, and Weibo account.
The live event lasted from 8:30 a.m. to 12 at noon, and captured scenes at the Taoyuan Town Central Square, food street, Taohua Gate, Taoyuan Town Playground, and the opening ceremony. In front of the camera, there were beautiful peach blossoms swaying with the wind, the top ten famous dishes of Shishou with strong aroma; a thronged crowd at the agricultural product exhibition, and the faces of many tourists. Millions of netizens watched the opening ceremony of the Taohua Mountain Tourism Season through live broadcast. The comment section of Hubei Daily’s Douyin and Wechat video accounts were also flooded with netizens. Here are some comments: “I hope my hometown will become more beautiful!” “The eggs and bamboo shoots from Taohua Mountain are yummy” and “Visit Taohua Mountain for good fortune.”
