Jingzhou’s Distinctive Health Products Debuts at Global Health Expo 2024
Updated: 2024-04-10 17:33:54

Recently, the 6th Global Health Expo 2024 was opened in Wuhan. At the expo, there were over 600 guests from across the world, and exhibitors from more than 1,000 well-known companies and organizations. Then what are the features of the Jingzhou Pavilion?

Located at Hubei Health Pavilion A2, the Jingzhou Pavillion was themed “Everlasting Charm of Chu Culture, Health Promotion in Jingzhou” and consisted of exhibition areas for publicity and interaction, medicine and health, and corporate representatives. Pharmacists at Jingzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were preparing pills by hand. Two brushes, a plate, a can of water, and a dish of powder were the tools for the preparation of water pills. The preparation process was also included in the intangible cultural heritage list.

Traditional Chinese medicine was displayed in a distinctive manner, while western medicine was displayed in a creative manner. There is a story in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms where Cao Cao, who suffered from a headache, were recommended by Hua Tuo to undergo craniotomy, which resembled modern surgery. This allusion was adapted by Jingzhou Central Hospital in the exquisitely crafted drama “Prime Minister Has a Stroke.”

At the Global Health Expo 2024, TCM pharmaceutical techniques with Jingzhou’s characteristics, experience of TCM appropriate technology, biomedicine, medical equipment, were all exhibited. Jingzhou has always followed the main path of Healthy China 2030 and developed an array of health products such as health food, health medicine, and health equipment. For this expo, it organized representatives of 20 companies in biomedicine, medical equipment, and health food to showcase latest developments of Jingzhou’s big health industry.
