According to customs statistics, Jingzhou's total foreign trade import and export value reached 4.41 billion yuan from January to February this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 33.6%. The total value ranked third among Hubei's prefecture-level cities (excluding Wuhan), while the net growth ranked first. Specifically, imports totaled 1.08 billion yuan, up 129.2%, while exports reached 3.33 billion yuan, up 17.7%.
By trade mode, both general trade and processing trade maintained rapid growth. From January to February, Jingzhou's general trade import and export value reached 4.05 billion yuan, up 35.2%, accounting for 91.8% of the total import and export value. The processing trade import and export value was 350 million yuan, up 15.8%, accounting for 7.9% of the total.
By enterprise type, private enterprises dominated, while foreign-invested enterprises and state-owned enterprises showed rapid growth. From January to February, Jingzhou's private enterprises achieved import and export value of 2.71 billion yuan, up 9.6%, accounting for 61.4% of the total. Meanwhile, that of the foreign-invested enterprises recorded 1.42 billion yuan, up 79.9%, accounting for 32.1%. State-owned enterprises reached 290 million yuan, up 554.5%, accounting for 6.5%.
By trading partners, trade was mainly concentrated in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. From January to February, Jingzhou's trade with Asia reached a total value of 1.92 billion yuan, up 34.1%, with major trading partners being Indonesia, Japan and India. Trade with Europe totaled 920 million yuan, up 59.5%, with Finland and Germany as main partners. Trade with Latin America amounted to 750 million yuan, up 81.6%, with Brazil as the primary partner. Trade with North America reached 720 million yuan, up 14.2%, with the U.S. being the main partner at 660 million yuan.
By product category, imports were mainly electromechanical products and agricultural products, while exports were dominated by electromechanical products, basic organic chemicals, labor-intensive products, auto parts, as well as medicinal materials and pharmaceuticals. From January to February, Jingzhou imported 600 million yuan worth of electromechanical products, up 235.7%.
