Jingchu Intangible Cultural Heritage TechniqueInheriting Academy Scenic Area was established based on theJingchuIntangible Cultural Heritage and Folks Technique Inheriting Base (hereinafterreferred to asJingchu ICH Base), with the goal to protect, inherit, carryforward and developthe Jingchu intangible cultural techniques. It also provides interactiveexperiences and innovative and special Jingchu ICH products for the tourists.
Theestablishment of JingchuICH Base is approved by Jingzhou Culture Bureau Intangible Cultural HeritageProtection Center, supported by the education of Jingzhou Entrepreneur School,a national reform and development model secondaryvocationalschool, and Hubei Folks Technician Collegeas the platform,with the goal to explore a combination of carryingforward Jingzhouintangible cultural heritage technique and skills with thedeveloping of modernvocational education, and thus to promote the developmentof Jingzhouinnovative cultural industry. At the same time, itwill conduct related scienceeducation, technical display, education and production activities so as to inherit and carry forwardtheJingchuintangible cultural heritage, and folks techniques and skills.
Jingchu Intangible CulturalHeritage Technique Inheriting Academy is committed to developingtheJingchu intangible cultural characteristictourism,with the integration of Jingchu opera appreciation, Jingchu intangible culturalheritage interactive experiences, and Jingchu-featured intangible culturalheritage products.Presently, it offers three static exhibitions including generalpainting culture exhibition, Chu-featured painted products exhibition, andJingzhou intangible cultural heritages exhibition; one opera display stage anddisciple acceptance ceremony stage; 11 interactive experiences workshops forChu-featured painting skills, sculpture and carve on lead and tin blocks, eaglekite, micro sculpture and carve, Han embroidery, Chu embroidery, colored papercutting, Chu-featured jade polishing, Chu-featured china plates, picture makingby heated calabash, and cloisonné.
