The county (city, district) pavilions themed "Chu farming" feature the agricultural culture of Jingchu, fully retain the original natural texture of the site, and present attractions like "Fish in Water", "Memories of Water" and "Plank Road with Water Wheels". The garden pavilions themed "Chu art", including Friendship City Garden and Master Garden, showcase traditional Jingchu crafts such as bronze ware, jade, lacquer ware and embroidery, and tell about the evolution of Chu culture as part of Chinese culture.

Museum of Chu Culture

Jingzhou Garden Expo (Hubei 2nd Garden Expo) is an important platform of promoting Jingchu culture and eco-civilization.

With humans as the orientation, history as the basis, stories as the main content, objects as the supplement and the eight-century history of the State of Chu as the timeline, the museum demonstrates the birth, development and expansion of the State of Chu from the perspectives of politics, economy, military, materials and spirit.

With a total area of 6,857 square meters, the museum consists of three exhibition halls-"Blaze a Trail", "Flourish" and "Keep Going". The exhibition highlights the cultural connotation of the State of Chu in the heyday of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, displays the profound historical and cultural deposits of Jingzhou, and organically integrates Chu culture with characteristic local features.

Notably, the "Flourish" hall demonstrates the historical achievements of the State of Chu as one of the Five Hegemonies in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Seven Powers in the Warring State Period, and showcases Chu culture matching ancient Greek culture in this period through historical allusions and stories such as "writings on bamboo and silk", "head raising and bowing" and "lofty mountains and flowing water", as well as articles such as chime bells, stone chimes, drums with a tiger-shaped base and a phoenix-shaped frame, stationery accessories and Chu bamboo slips.

Logo of Jingzhou Garden Expo

"Watery Jingchu", the logo of Jingzhou Garden, features Jingzhou's local elements such as lotus and phoenix. The mascots "Jingjing" and "Chuchu" are inspired by finless porpoise and elk, two national treasure-class animals living in the old courses of the Yangtze River.
